Born out of two 19th century tertiary education providers – SAIT and SACAE – UniSA in its current form came into being in 1991, and has quickly grown to become South Australia’s largest university. UniSA is spread across two main CBD campuses (City East and City West), two suburban campuses (Magill and Mawson Lakes), and two regional campuses (Whyalla and Mount Gambier.) It focuses on seven academic units – Allied Health & Human Performance, Clinical & Health Sciences, Business, Creative, Education Futures, Justice & Society, and STEM – and is regularly rated as one of the world’s best universities under 50 years old.
