When it was established in 1989, QUT represented the merger and accumulation of eleven different education providers over the preceding 140 years. Two distinct campuses are located in central Brisbane: Gardens Point, right in the heart of the CBD, and Kelvin Grove, 2km north. True to its name, QUT brings a focus on such fields as Architecture, Design, Information Technology, Mathematics, Science and Engineering. It’s also home to QUT Business School, which is ranked within the top 1% of business schools worldwide. It counts Leigh Sales, Karl Stefanovic and Peter Dutton amongst its notable alumni.
