What you'll do
The Group Cyber Security function, encompassing the Governance Risk & Compliance function within Sky’s Technology department, is responsible for ensuring that Sky has the right strategy in place for cyber security; one that ensures Sky is addressing its key cyber risks and maintaining a robust cyber resilience posture.

Our Cyber Security team helps the business grow while protecting our customers, colleagues and partners from increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. Our team includes Cyber Fusion Centre, Security Services, Risk and Compliance, Programme Delivery and Business Security, and we work across the UK, Italy and Germany. Join us and you’ll get involved in tackling challenges and future threats in an ever-changing cyber landscape.
- identifying, developing, and managing effective compliance processes
- compliance assessment/gap analysis and supporting of project planning
- working with control owners to ensure understanding and adherence to new or established control frameworks
- reviewing and risk assessing Policy Exceptions
- managing Cyber Security audit and assurance findings
- ensuring GDPR / Data Protection controls are in place
- creating and maintaining control and compliance metrics and dashboards across the Sky Group; and
You will also be required to liaise between the GRC department and other Sky departments or external third parties.
This is an exciting time for the team, with cyber security and protection of information and content a key focus at Board level.
What you'll bring
- This role requires an experienced Cyber Security Compliance Analyst with considerable experience in supporting compliance within the information security field and familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, SOx (and financial reporting), GDPR, and PCI.
- The successful candidate will understand the potential consequences and significance, to Sky and its customers, for non-compliance to defined internal polices and externally mandated regulation.
- They will be a process-driven, self-motivated and well organised individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and initiative.
- They will be someone who thrives in an environment of change and is happy to challenge the status quo, when appropriate.
- They will be comfortable with continuous improvement; working to agreed objectives, targets and timescales.
- The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, both written, including PowerPoint, and verbal, with the ability to articulate and author reports, presentations, make recommendations to senior stakeholders and prepare similar written communications.
- Experience with an enterprise GRC tool would be advantageous.
Team overview
The Cyber Security Compliance team is a specialist team that supports all aspects of compliance across Group Technology, from interpretation of external regulations all the way through to guiding departments across Sky to successful audit or assessment outcomes. Working across all territories including Sky Germany, Italy, and the UK, the Cyber Security Compliance team provides strategic and operational input into all aspects of technology compliance.
