.net Developer

About the Role:

We’re assiting a Government Department to find a highly skilled and motivated .Net Developer to join its team in Canberra. The successful candidate will work closely with the project team to uplift existing code and deliver requirements for enhancements and improvements. This is a challenging role to deliver a modernisation agenda that will see the Department transition away from monolithic legacy systems onto contemporary platforms.

You’ll be a key player in developing a once in a generation program to support the delivery of services with modern technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and enhance a C# based, n-tier, enterprise software and associated documentation

Develop automated application build and deployment scripts using the .NET environment (.NET Core) , and additional Microsoft technology stack.

Follow the Agile Methodology for software development using tools such as Azure DevOps.

Provide analysis on complex issues and contribute to the management, preparation, and coordination of policy formulation and/or project management.

May be required to supervise a team

Develop and support key internal and external relationships

Provide accurate specialist advice, guidance and reporting on team functional responsibilities.

Skills required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience in .Net development.

Strong experience in developing and deploying .Net applications.

Experience in developing automated application build and deployment scripts using .NET environment (.NET Core), and additional Microsoft technology stack.

Knowledge of Agile methodology for software development.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Work From Home Policy: 

Candidates are expected to work onsite in Canberra.

Eligibility:

This role is open to Australian citizens with the ability to obtain an NV1 security clearance.
