The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) are embarking on the Green and Gold decade. An exciting time filled with international sporting competitions on home soil, including the Men’s and Women’s Rugby World Cup, the Victorian Commonwealth Games in and culminating in the Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games.

What will you be accountable for? 

We are looking for experienced Executive Assistants to provide effective administrative support to the Senior Executive. The positions will work directly to the Senior Executive Assistant and support the executive team to deliver upon strategic and operational priorities. Specific duties include: 

  • Providing high level executive support in a professional, accurate and timely manner 
  • Performing executive support functions including managing the diary and appointments, inbox and meeting arrangements for Senior Executives. 
  • Management of correspondence, including, monitoring emails, and responding to enquiries where necessary, collation and follow-up of information and tracking of high-volume activity to ensure deadlines are met. 
  • Working cohesively and closely with respective Senior Advisors while assisting other executive support staff as required 
  • Being the first point of contact for the Executive Support team, with the provision of clear, timely and effective communication and coordination, greeting visitors, receiving and responding to phone calls, emails and general correspondence 
  • Responsibility for broader administration support, including assisting with the coordination of ministerial and parliamentary requests, as well as reports, submissions, briefs and records management, organising and providing support for meetings including venues and hospitality, preparation and assembly of meeting packs, and arranging travel. 
  • Being accountable for organising your workflow, making decisions within defined parameters relating to area of responsibility and seeking guidance when required, 
  • Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders of all levels and working collaboratively to achieve the goals and objectives. 
  • This role works closely with the ASC’s executive support team to ensure support for the Senior Executive team is managed effectively and in a coordinated manner, promoting good corporate governance.
