About the Company

Our client operates and manages over 70 Profiling Automatic Weather Stations across South Australia, including the Mid North, Riverland & Mallee. The weather station network uses the latest technology and provide accurate data on the development and presence of inversions, rainfall, wind and fire danger, providing real time decision-making tools for various applications such as spraying.

About the role

An exciting part time sales opportunity is currently available to further expand the network, identify customer requirements and improve data subscription sales.

Responsibilities

Develop a sales strategy with clear actions and KPIs

Undertake market research

Liaise with local grower groups, farmers and businesses

Speaking engagements and/or presence at relevant industry meetings, grower meetings and events

Identify and assist with funding opportunities

Willing to travel regularly and able to assist with fieldwork installations in semi-remote regions

Requirements

Education / Experience / Skills

Minimum 3 years proven track-record in sales preferred

Background in Ag preferred

Confident presenting to an audience

Existing network in SA Agriculture, particularly broad-acre an advantage

Owns their own car (and drivers’ licence)

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, DropBox, etc

Self-starting / good initiative / a ‘people person’
