The role

The Saab Australian Space Domain Team is pursuing multiple development opportunities associated within the space domain from ground based through to space based capabilities.

Significant software under development will require coordination across these projects including coordination and facilitation of SW architectures to support both cloud based and on premise development solutions.

Further, the successful candidate(s) will:

  • Manage, maintain, communicate and coordinate cloud-hosted projects ensuring that design development and architectures proposed are in alignment with current security and risk evaluated processes and corporate guidelines.
  • Discuss and agree upon the scope, design and implementation for Space AMS integration in consultation with the Space AMS Dev Group technical community.
  • Prepare, monitor and revise software development estimates and forecast for the production and integration of software to meet the objectives of multiple projects as directed by the Space SME
  • Lead, coordinate and guide team on space software integration and associated artefacts.
  • Be responsible for the resolution of problem reports allocated to the Integration team.
  • Provide coaching, technical leadership and guidance to software team members.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office will be considered for this role.

    About you

    Your skills and experience will include:

  • Demonstrated experience in software integration
  • Tertiary qualifications in systems engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
  • Experience in the development of large software projects.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the lifecycle of large software development projects.
  • Experience in producing and reviewing technical documentation.
  • Experience in the interpretation and application of software standards.
  • Experience with the products, development environment and the tools used to develop and support the software.
  • As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
