Support Worker Needed In Rosanna

Are you working towards your child care or nursing certificates and are keen to gain more practical experience? Gain hundreds of hours of experience alongside your studies!

We are searching for a compassionate and patient Support Worker who can assist a lovely 3-year-old girl with her day-to-day needs!

Roles start immediately in Balwyn with the family moving to Rosanna in mid-September.

Hours: 18hrs/week (potential for more)

Start: ASAP

Schedule:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 1 pm-7 pm
Times may vary during the transition period
Potential for more hours and occasional night shifts for the right candidate
Tasks required:

Feeding & assisting during all her meals
Support for self-care (i.e baths, getting dressed, naps, etc)
Ensure she is in a safe environment as she also has balancing issues
Accompanying mum/dad to her medical appointments
Basic housekeeping tasks
School pick-ups
Sometimes help with caring for the baby
You are:

keen to work with children
patient and compassionate
able to learn on the go
proactive and with a can-do attitude
preferably a fully vaccinated person
someone who cares for other children like their own
someone who can drive & has a car
qualifications in childcare and first aid a plus
You have experience with:

nasogastric tube-fed just in case she may need it at times (which will be unlikely)
reading cues as she is non verbal & has a hearing impairment
experienced in infant care
