>Symonston ACTCorporate Division is responsible for delivering services and support to enable Geoscience Australia to fulfil its role. It strives to provide professional, trusted and respected advice and to ensure its services and business solutions are sustainable, customer focused and deliver value.Communications section is focused on supporting Geoscience Australia to effectively engage key stakeholders and the general public. It comprises several teams of communication specialists managing external communication, corporate communication, publications, video and multimedia production, media engagement and public relations, social media and digital engagement, web publication, and cartography.Communication Account Managers are responsible for:providing communication advice, support and services to internal stakeholders, with the overarching aim of enabling achievement of priority areas outlined in Strategy 2028. crafting effective communication plans and engaging messages around the work of the organisation, its regulations, policies and services, and its role in the communitysupporting consistent and effective participation in relevant industry conferences and events.The key duties of the position include:As a Communication Account Manager, you will:provide strategic communication advice and support to clients across Geoscience Australia.work directly with Executives, scientists and technical experts to identify priorities, to develop, implement, and evaluate impactful communication plans, and to craft effective and impactful communication to key audiences.collaborate with other communication professionals to deliver specialist services, including creative design, cartography, web publishing, digital engagement, change management, events management, and media/public relations.work with internal and external stakeholders to support effective organisation participation in relevant industry conferences.enable the achievement of objectives outlined in Strategy 2028 through the provision of communication advice and services.EligibilityYou must be an Australian Citizen at the closing date of application. You must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline level security clearance or hold a current security clearance of an appropriate level. Commencement of employment is subject to the successful applicant undergoing and satisfying a police history check.
