Laboratory Technician – Asphalt

Job Description

The role: Based in Bundaberg and reporting to the Area Manager – Asphalt, we are looking for an experienced Asphalt Laboratory Technician, whose primary focus will be on the day to day sampling and testing of asphalt products. This is a permanent role with occasional overtime. Key duties: Sampling and testing of asphalt Field sampling and testing on project sites Generating reports on test results and accurate record keeping Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment Follow Inspection and Test Plans to carry out production and compliance testing, and Maintenance of the laboratory in accordance with NATA accreditation requirements What are we looking for? Flexibility to work Monday to Saturday and on shift work when required Availability to work on project sites away from home Experience in quality control testing of construction material products Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised Strong commitment to safety and quality Well-developed analytical skills A strong understanding of NATA requirements and, A Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques will be highly regarded Why join Boral?
