SportWest, the independent peak industry body for sport in Western Australia is searching for dedicated and innovative team players to join us in two exciting, newly created opportunities of Communication and Events Manager and Administration Assistant. Sport is ultimately about people, so both of these roles require someone who is a people person, is willing to work with others and appreciates that sport takes place all hours of the week and as such standard work hours are not always the norm. Communication and Events Manager The Communications and Event Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of all aspects of communications, marketing and events for SportWest. The position is vital to achieving our Strategic Plan and as a result requires an independent thinker who can juggle multiple priorities at once, with the ability of being able to not only develop plans but put them in place. Administration Assistant The Administration Assistant is responsible for the SportWest team and office running smoothly. The role is responsible for the internal management of the organisation and supporting the team, this position ensures that SportWest runs efficiently and effectively. The Administration Assistant position is varied and requires someone who is able to read the play and adapt quickly. The position fills the role of Board Secretariat ensuring compliance to governance requirements and attending all Board and General Meetings. This means an ability to work outside of standard office hours is required.
