You’ll be close to the local community with schools and shopping centres nearby, and within a 20-minute drive to Surfers Paradise and the Gold Coast’s famous beaches. About the Role Use your housekeeping skills in a role in which you can really make a difference – ensuring our residents have clean and hygienic laundry including bedding, clothing and general linen, all whilst providing our residents with a compassionate and empathetic approach. This is a permanent part time position with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts covering staff sick and annual leave. DutiesSorting through soiled and dirty linen – separating by fabric, cleaning techniques or dirt contentLoading cleaning machines, washers and dryersSort and count linen as removed from dryersHang, fold and wrap linen as requiredIroning and operating machineryMaintaining legislated workplace health and safety practicesAd hoc support to the broader team as required, including catering and cleaningSkills and ExperienceIdeally Cert III Hospitality, but not essentialPrevious experience gained in a similar role, aged care experience highly regarded but not essentialAbility to stand for long periods of time and manage labour intensive tasksEnsure production targets are maintained Must have a current national police certificate or be willing to complete a criminal history checkPeople enjoy working at Bupa because of the 5 key values that Bupa instils in the work environments; Passionate, Caring, Open, Authentic, Accountable, Courageous and Extraordinary.
