Job Description

Islington is seeking a casual and experienced kitchen crew to join our team

Islington is a 11 room boutique hotel that offers breakfast 7 days per week and dinner 4 times per week. You would be required to work over a 7 day rotating roster, including weekends and be ready to work by yourself and in a team confidently and comfortably.

You must be passionate and creative, friendly, and ready to deliver a personalized service. Islington is a small team, and a good, hard-working attitude is essential for this roll.

Essentials for this roll:

2+ years previous experience working in a similar property

Flexible availability

Be reliable and a team player

Food presentation skills and food knowledge;

Passion for cooking;

Minimizing food waste and promoting sustainability;

Job Duties:

Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required

Follow recipes and presentation specifications

Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

Influencing food costs via portion control, waste minimization and stock control.

Take overall responsibility for the kitchen’s daily operations
