We are currently seeking an experienced Head Chef for our Banquets department who is a proven leader and creative individual with culinary and managerial skills to mentor and develop the Banquets Kitchen team. ABOUT THE ROLE: Ensuring food quality is to 5-star standard and is in line with company standards Participating in the development and implementation of business strategies for the Banquets department Maintain product consistency Develop menus based on client specifications and contracts Participating in food preparation during service and possess high level food presentation skills ABOUT YOU: 2 years previous experience as Banquets Head Chef in a Convention Centre or in a commercial 5-star kitchen Certificate III in Commercial Cookery Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP and WH&S standards Strong leadership and effective communication skills Ability to remain professional in difficult situations Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy Available to work a 7-day roster including morning and evening shifts, public holidays and weekends Demonstrated experience in menu planning, recipe development and managing a Banquets kitchen Experience in financial management, including budgeting cost control and P&L’s Delaware North Companies Australia is a market leader in the hospitality industry with a portfolio spanning: sporting stadiums, airports & transport, leisure & entertainment, resorts, remote services and gaming venues across Australia and New Zealand If you are after a winning career,
