Data Scientist

About the Role:As Data Scientist you will report to the GM of Strategic Capabilities and will be primarily responsible for the following data fields as the business embraces data technology and analytics to enhance its capabilities.Business analytics.Statistics.Linear Algebra.General Development/Coding Skills.Engineering.Machine Learning. Duties will include but are not limited to: Work with large, complex data to measure results, build and develop predictive models, non-routine analysis problems, and apply advanced analytical methods as needed; Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, data cleaning, and requirements specification processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations.Lead development and application of new methodologies and analytic techniques, promoting best practices in the field.Employ data visualization and storytelling to communicate and engage stakeholders.Collaborating with the internal teams to fully understand business requirements and desired business outcomes. Present a clear story to the key stakeholders and build automated workflows for continued consumption of the insights.Providing thought leadership in both using data to solve business problems and in arriving at innovative statistical solutions.Ensuring all project documentation is up to date and maintain the highest levels of quality in deliverables.Ensuring project delivery within timelines and budget requirementsContribute to the development of the team’s analytical skills and expertise.Cultivate open and clear communication across team members and stakeholders. Skills and Experience: 5+ years of hands-on analytical experience.Able to connect data visualization insights with a business problem.Must be team-oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities.Excellent communicator – should have the capability to translate numbers to business insights.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to present complex ideas in a clear & concise way, a team player with good work ethics.Strong customer service skills with a flexible approach.Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
