We do this by delivering tailor-made solutions across the breadth of health & safety, property and the environment through our expert services, online solutions, and training offerings. www.greencap.com.au www.wesfarmers.com.au The Role Reporting to the Practice Manager – HazMat, the Asbestos Field / Lab Technician will contribute to the project and account management, while also having the technical ability to deliver a wide range of services to our clients. This role will be supported by a team of high performing technical experts. To be successful in this role, here are the following key responsibilities: Conducting and guiding complex Asbestos / Hazmat audits in a wide range of locations including commercial buildings, industrial facilities and residential properties.Conducting a full range of compliance air monitoring for friable asbestos works and visual inspections including during Asbestos / Hazmat remediation projects. Compiling comprehensive technical reports detailing results of Asbestos / Hazmat investigations to provide prioritised and practicable recommendations.Managing assigned projects to ensure they meet defined key project objectives (i.e. meet client needs, timeframes, budget, etc.) and regularly communicate with key stakeholders.Acting as a subject matter expert providing technical advice to clients and colleagues.Developing client relationships to expand regional business opportunities and services via proactive consultancy. Able to build and maintain client satisfaction with the services offered; Able to escalate selling opportunities through identification of variations, scope creep and up/cross-sell opportunities; Asbestos Assessor Licence or eligibility to acquire would be beneficial; Previous NATA-accreditation for asbestos analysis, current PTA NAP & NAIP results (ideally) Lab Experience: Analysing asbestos in the air, bulk material, soil and dust samples, reviewing and coordinating results Ensuring analysis aligns with Greencap’s ISO 17025 NATA accreditation Interpreting and communicating laboratory results to internal and external customers effectively Maintaining laboratory equipment in line with the Laboratory Equipment Assurance Program Completing laboratory support tasks that include maintaining the cleanliness of the laboratory and equipment, logging equipment into and out of the laboratory and the control of documentation HazMat Survey / Hygiene Experience: Conducting sampling of suspected asbestos-containing materials and other hazardous materials (hazmat) such as lead paint and lead dust; Conducting asbestos/hazmat management and reinspection surveys; Conducting asbestos/hazmat refurbishment/demolition surveys for residential and commercial proprieties; Preparing risk assessment reports, asbestos/hazmat management plans and scope of works; Leading and conducting non-friable and friable hygiene work (air monitoring and visual clearance) during asbestos abatement Experienced asbestos fibre counter Are you ready to join us to make the world safer?
