>Canberra ACT, Sydney NSW, Melbourne VICThe Executive Assistant Temporary Employment Register is open for candidates to submit an expression of interest for non-ongoing employment as an Executive Assistant within the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) in Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne at the APS4 level.The ATO will review applications and if a vacancy is identified that matches your skills and experience we will contact you.Your application will remain active for six months, after which we will email you to review and resubmit your application.The key duties of the position include:We’re looking for experienced, enthusiastic and highly organised Executive Assistants. To succeed in this role you will have great people skills, the ability to anticipate the needs of senior executives and demonstrate flexibility and resilience.Our ideal candidate:has a strong background working in an Executive Assistant, or similar, roleis great at establishing strong working relationships and taking a client-centred approach to their workhas well-developed organisational skills including the ability to manage competing priorities and delivering a very high standard of workexercises sound judgement and shows a high degree of initiative, integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive business mattersis proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.These non-ongoing roles may be offered in our Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne site on a full-time or part-time basis depending on business needs and requirements.EligibilityTo be eligible for employment with the Australian Taxation Office, an applicant must be an Australian citizen.An applicant’s suitability for employment with the department will be assessed through a pre-employment screening process. This process includes a requirement for the applicant to undergo and satisfy a police history check, referee checks, character clearance and where relevant a pre-employment medical assessment, specified mandatory qualification(s) validation.
