Job DescriptionVolunteer social visitor in aged care home, fluent in CantoneseSpend time with an elderly person who would like a social visitor at HammondCare Caulfield residential aged care home. Ideally you'll be a fluent Cantonese speaker and enjoy chatting with people.The commitment is one hour per week for 12 months or longer. We would be delighted to talk with you about a suitable day and time during the week or weekend.Volunteering with HammondCare is one way you can give something back to the aged or frail in our society. Not only does volunteering have an impact on the person you spend time with, but you'll learn a lot and meet new people. HammondCare is located at 294 Kooyong Road, Caulfield. We'll provide two days of training and ongoing support from the Caulfield Volunteer Coordinator. You'll be required to complete a criminal record check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and provide proof of your flu vaccination – or be willing to have the vaccination prior to starting.
