Join Eastern Plant Hire’s (EPH) 12-month Sales Development Program as a Sales Associate.

EPH’s industry-leading Sales Development Program offers determined and ambitious individuals the perfect launchpad for their sales career. A program that provides essential business acumen and hands-on experience required to become an exceptional sales professional in the earthmoving industry.

During the first six months, you will partake in structured training and mentorship opportunities to develop a deep understanding of sales, compliance, finance, operations, and customer service.

Once you have gained these skills, you’ll continue your development with ongoing training and guidance from our experienced Area and State Management team. You’ll be mentored to learn the ins and outs of sales in the earthmoving industry.

Upon completing the program, you’ll be empowered with the skills and knowledge needed to carve out a rewarding career path, which will open doors to endless growth opportunities within EPH.

Here’s an outline of some of the units of the Sales Development Program that you will learn through hands-on working experience:

• The Sales Process: Gain an in-depth understanding of EPH’s services, sales strategies, and business operations;

• Negotiation Skills: Learn how to confidently negotiate terms, prices, and contracts while ensuring a positive outcome for both parties;

• Communication Skills: Sharpening both verbal and written communication, ensuring clear, persuasive, and professional interactions with clients and team members;

• Customer Relationship Management: Develop skills to build strong, long-term relationships with clients and understand their needs to offer tailored solutions;

• Market Insights: Learn how to interpret the market landscape and client preferences to stay ahead in sales opportunities;

These units will be complimented with:

• Learning and Development: Active participation in training programs to develop key sales skills (conflict resolution, business development, pricing), service knowledge, and industry insights;

• Attend Sales Meetings: Participate in internal sales meetings, training sessions, and conferences to gain insights from the team and contribute ideas;

• Mentoring: Attend weekly and monthly discussions with your assigned mentor to discuss key learnings, feedback, and development opportunities;
