We are Australia's leading online retailer in our niche (eco-friendly pest control products). We need a keen bean to help out our small, international, team with various bits of our operations (10 hours a week, flexible timing).
This job offers you the chance to get involved in all aspects of our operations, to experience what business is like, and get exposure to a range of areas of operations including customer service, marketing, copywriting, finance, product design, international sourcing, logistics... we do it all with a very small team.
Our ideal hire will be:
- Enthusiastic and hungry to learn new things.
- Flexible and comfortable working in a state of low-level chaos.
- A self-starter, with a high level of initiative.
- Have great communication skills.
- Very attentive to detail.
- Good at getting along with all kinds of people.
What we offer (beyond just a job):
- A huge amount of flexibility in terms of when and where you work; we don't have an office, but part of the role is managing our returns, which need to be physically processed (we'll manage logistics with the successful candidate).
- A friendly, supportive team to work and learn alongside.
- A change to get relevant experience in the real world before you get out of uni and join the workforce - or perhaps start your own business!
----
We don't want to burden you with heaps of hurdles to jump over, so if you're interested we have just 3.5 questions for you please. There are no right or wrong answers; we just want to get a sense of who you are and whether we'd make a good fit (just a few sentences per Q please; no more than 50-100 words each):
1. Please tell us about yourself, how you got where you are and where you want to be in 5 years.
2. What, specifically, about this job appeals to you?
3. How do you keep organised when you have a lot of competing priorities?
3.5. What is the grammatical mistake I made in the job description?
If you have a CV please send it too.
