Scribe for Students with Diverse Needs

Position: Casual Scribe
Location: On-site at School

Role Overview
As a scribe, you will assist students with diverse needs during tests and assessments by writing down everything the student says. Your role is to transcribe their verbal responses accurately. The scribe will support students during their exams, across various subjects and, mostly in Y11, providing essential support to help them achieve their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately transcribe students' verbal responses during tests and assessments.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow any specific instructions regarding assessment accommodations.
- Assist students in understanding and following exam procedures.
- Be patient and adaptable to each student's unique communication style and needs.
- Provide support respectfully and encouragingly.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Working with children's check
- Good listening and writing skills.
- Ability to remain impartial and transcribe exactly what the student says.
- Experience working with children or students with diverse needs is a plus.

Working Conditions:
This casual position requires attendance at the school during designated testing times. The work schedule will vary based on assessment requirements. You will be paid a fair salary per hour.
