Maple Zone
The Maple Activation Zone is an engaging and inclusive event space designed to promote Maple Community Services' brand and values. It serves as an interactive hub where attendees can participate in activities, learn about Maple's offerings, and understand how to access vital NDIS services. The zone focuses on inclusivity and fun, featuring adapted Australian Football League (AFL) activities that cater to diverse abilities.

Core Activities
Blind AFL Kicking Practice
- This activity allows participants to experience AFL kicking while blindfolded, simulating the experience of playing with a vision impairment.
- Guided by sound and the assistance of facilitators, participants will learn to kick a ball towards a target, enhancing their sensory skills and empathy for athletes with vision impairments.

Blind Passing and Catching Practice
- The main objective is to enhance sensory skills and promote communication in a fun and supportive environment.
- By using an audible ball that emits sound, this activity allows players to rely on their hearing to interact with the ball, creating awareness about the capabilities and resilience of individuals with vision impairment.

Role: Maple Activation Attendants

Responsibilities:
The Maple Attendant is a dynamic and engaging role, vital for promoting Maple Community Services' involvement with the AFL and enhancing brand visibility. This attendant is responsible for meeting and greeting attendees, checking attendants into the activation zone, encouraging participation in games, capturing memorable experiences, and leveraging social media to amplify Maple's message. They play a key role in creating an interactive, fun atmosphere and driving social media engagement to spread awareness of Maple's commitment to inclusivity and empowerment.

Requirements:
- Actively invite and encourage attendees to participate in the interactive games and activities at the Maple Activation Zone, fostering a lively and inclusive environment.
- Explain the rules and objectives of the games, ensuring participants have a fun and engaging experience.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to provide clear instructions and feedback to participants and to communicate effectively with team members.
- Ability to manage and supervise activities, ensuring that all participants are engaged safely and effectively.
- Encourage participants to share their experiences on social media, providing instructions or assistance if necessary.

The Maple Activation Attendant is essential in creating an energetic and memorable experience at the Maple Activation Zone. Through their efforts in promoting game participation, capturing engaging content, and fostering social media interaction, they play a pivotal role in spreading awareness of Maple Community Services' involvement with the AFL, thus amplifying the message of empowerment and inclusivity under the banner of #AbleWithMaple.
