Snowy Joey is currently based at Annerley and has been attending events in the Brisbane, Sunshine Coast & Gold Coast Areas since 2007. We are a leader in our field providing unique event options to customers and we also sell Premium Quality Snow Cones Syrups Australia wide.

A unique opportunity has arisen for the appropriate applicant to join the team in a permanent part time position. Only 1 position is available.

The role will not only involve working events but also assisting in all areas of the business from restocking supplies boxes, collecting supplies, making syrup orders & other duties as needed to assist the Operations Manager at our Annerley location.

The best way to detail the tasks and responsibilities is to list what a typical week may look like...

An example of a weekly working schedule:

· Wednesday: restock the supplies boxes, clean any equipment as needed. Notify manager of any repairs needed, refill syrup bottles, buy & restock ice in the freezers. Make up any syrup orders OR work an event. Estimated to be 4-6hrs of work depending on the work.

· Thursday: Work an event, if needed, if there is no event to be worked then finish off any restoking from Monday. Make syrup order or perform any other business tasks as needed. Estimated to be 2-4hrs

· Friday: Work an event, if needed, OR help prepare the weekend’s events. Get the setups ready, help load cars for events. Make syrup orders, if needed. Estimated to be 2-4hrs

· Saturday: Work events as needed. Estimated to be 6hrs

· Sunday: Work events as needed. Estimated to be 6hrs

· Monday: Day Off

· Tuesday: Day Off

PLEASE NOTE
· That the 20-25 hrs worked each week are flexible and will depend on which days we have events. This could change week to week. On days where we may have no events, like Wednesday’s & Thursday’s the work hours can be at any time that suits the employee.

· Some weeks the work needed to be done may be less than 25 hours and other weeks it may be more than 25 hours. Over a 4 week period it will be at least 20-25 hours per week.

Requirements:
· Suitable car that you can use to transport setups to and from events. Suitable cars are medium to large size cars, sedans, Utes or 4wd's, or a smaller car & a box trailer. A car the size of a Rav 4 or a sedan is ideal for this type of work. We have fit all 3 setups into a Suzuki Swift but most small cars won't suit due to their size & shape.

PLEASE NOTE: You may be able to use the Snowy Joey work car if you don’t have a suitable car (depending on age & driving history)

· No Experience needed as you will receive on the job training but previous experience in market stall work or physical work & dealing with customers would be useful

· Be physically able to move, lift & carry eskies of ice. These can weigh up to 20kg

· The ability to deal professionally with organizers and other adults & kids at events.

· Basic mathematical skills to be able to calculate change at selling events

· Honesty, Reliability & Punctuality are critically important

· Live in or around the Brisbane area so that you can get to an from Annerley quickly

· Someone that can commit to at least 9 to 12 months in this position

Snowy Joey has been attending events in the Greater Brisbane, Gold Coast & Sunshine Coast areas for the past 17 years. Serving out Snow Cones, Fairy Floss and Popcorn usually for free but some events we do sell.
We regularly attend events at Griffith Uni, UQ, Bunnings, QUT, Brisbane City Council, Gold Coast Hospital, numerous soccer and football clubs in the winter time and fete's festivals and Christmas events in the summer.
The events that we are booked to attend are mainly held on weekends but we do have some weekday work especially at Christmas time and during the Uni Open Days held a few times during the year.
