Bulk Warehouse Stock Hand

Job Description
We are currently seeking a Warehouse Stock Hand to join our Support Office for the day-to-day processing of stock to stores during our busy Christmas period. The successful candidate will report to and assist the Distribution Supervisors and Group Distribution Manager.
This Christmas Casual position requires flexible availability. The successful candidate must be available for October, November, December and January.
As a Stock Hand you will perform the following duties but not limited to:
- Picking and packing of giftware/ packaging to send to stores
- Assist with forklift work when required
- Assist with emptying containers
- Assist with palletising stock from containers
- Assist with restocking of shelves.
- Assist with loading of new store equipment for local delivery
- Consolidate all deliveries for specific store
- Consigning of outbound shipments
- Assist with delivery of received parcels/satchels from couriers to appropriate department/personnel.
- Assist with delivery of received utilities.
- Assist with filling of store stationery orders.
- Assist with processing of faulty/damaged goods
- Assist in receiving & recording of stock deliveries
- Marking off returned stock & reporting any variances to the Supervisor
- Assessing stock for write off
- Assist with general DC Duties when needed.
- Assist with general warehouse maintenance
- Assist with shredding of archived paperwork
- Assist with general sorting & storage of archival material.
- Ad hoc duties

- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Team orientated
- Presents a “can do” attitude
- Ability to manage and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
