Casual Disability Support Worker

Good morning Uni Students! Are you looking for a casual job for while you are studying at uni? Then look no further, we have you covered. We are searching for a uni student that has interest in being a support worker, this is a great opportunity to be a part of a fun, devoted, supportive group that gets out into the community and do group activities folding incidental learning wherever we can. Shifts involve activities such as swimming, bowling, movie trips, restaurants, social group outings, all while supporting a great human being in achieving their goals such as independence, developing their social skills, behavioural management etc.

Being a part of the Independence and Beyond Support Services team is an excellent opportunity to craft and hone these skills/approaches.

No experience is necessary as training will be provided on the job. The ideal candidate will be in the healthcare field. Much of what YOU will take from this position can be translated into areas of other healthcare professions as well as other professions. Building up on customer relations, strengthening rapport, identifying positive routine based behaviours are great proxies for any career.

Starting rates: $28:95.

Reliable applicants that are willing to listen, be consistent, empathetic and congruent are what we are looking for.

Applicants much have:
First Aid and CPR.
Working with children Blue card.
Current Qld driver's licence.
Reliable personal car.

School holiday hours available as well between 9am-4pm from Monday-Friday (Need flexibility on days, you will be offered shifts 2 weeks in advance) . These are generally with our teenager group outings. The shift will involve picking up one of the teenagers in our group, driving them to a location for where the activity of the day will take place (Everyone will meet at this location) and then returning the teenager back home. Activities can be, bowling, swimming, park days, beach days, indoor play grounds and nature hikes.
