Job Description: We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cadet Estimator. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to learn and develop estimating skills in the field of resin flooring. The Cadet Estimator will work closely with our experienced estimators and project managers to prepare accurate cost estimates and assist in the overall project management process.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with senior estimators to analyze project requirements and create accurate cost estimates for resin flooring projects.
Conduct thorough on-site assessments and gather relevant data to determine project specifications.
Utilize estimation software and tools to calculate material quantities, labor costs, and project timelines.
Research and source pricing information for materials and subcontractors.
Assist in the preparation of comprehensive project proposals, including scope of work, cost breakdowns, and timelines.
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
Maintain accurate records of estimation data, project documents, and communication with clients.

Requirements:

A strong interest in the construction industry, particularly in resin flooring.
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to work with complex data.
Proficiency in using estimation software and MS Office applications.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate and precise estimates.
Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
A positive attitude, self-motivation, and willingness to learn.
A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

A degree or diploma in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field is an asset.
Prior experience in construction estimating or project coordination is advantageous.
Familiarity with resin flooring products, applications, and industry standards is advantageous.
