Job Description
- Develop and maintain P&C Policy and Governance framework and processes to maintain P&C policies.
- Monitor the progress, cycle and relevance of policies and procedures from review to publication, preparing briefs and correspondence to facilitate consultation and approval of documents.
- Review and develop HR policies and procedures in consultation with relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts with a focus on ensuring P&C policies, procedures and guidelines are current, consistent and supporting a high performing organisation whilst aligning with legislation, Enterprise Agreements and key
departmental strategies and VPS / regulatory requirements. - Provide specialist policy advice and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders and research practices and policies in other organisations to facilitate the achievement of best practice within the parameters of applicable Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
- Manage directorate risk and ensure compliance. Facilitate the identification, reporting and resolution of relevant P&C risks, compliance and governance matters.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders i.e. Business Assurance, Legal etc. to ensure the accurate and timely reporting, monitoring and resolution of P&C risks, governance and compliance matters. Coordinate, update and maintain the P&C risk register in consultation with internal P&C stakeholders.
The Successful Applicant
- Tertiary qualification in Business and/or Human Resources and previous experience drafting, reviewing and implementing HR Policies.
- Working knowledge of Fair Work Act and associated legislation, HR best practice and risk management.
- Experience in HR policy development.
- Drafting ability and capacity to translate complex legal issues into straightforward language.
