Student Operations Team Assistant, Secondary, Melton at Tradewind (Melton, VIC)

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Teacher’s Assistant to join a Secondary school in Melton for a new school role of ‘Student Operations Team Assistant.’ This is a Full-time only role with a contract until the end of the year.

This role consists of a range of administrative tasks relating to assisting faculty teams and students. Please note this is not a conventional Teaching Assistant role but a more admin-based role with communication and dealings with teachers and students in a varied number of situations on a daily basis and is important in supporting the smooth operation of the school.
Responsibilities can include but are not only including:

Administrative support: Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, record-keeping, filing, submissions of documents, photocopying

Student support: Help students with their academic, emotional, or administrative needs

Facilities management: Help manage the physical facilities of the school, including monitoring and reporting maintenance issues, ordering supplies, unlocking gates and areas of the school as needed, and managing inventory, etc.

Other duties as assigned: Assist with any other tasks or projects assigned by the operations team or school leadership.

Requirements:

Current and Valid WWCC

Experience working in Secondary Schools advantageous

Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

A highly motivated and proactive thinker that is able to follow directions and have the initiative in a variety of situations without needing constant direction

Positive attitude and open/friendly demeanor

Administration skills are an advantage
