We are now searching for a talented Content Producer to join our Editorial team. For the successful candidate, your work will be published on a trusted website that’s read by millions of people each year. You will write content that helps Australian consumers make more informed decisions about their finances, whether it’s their home loan, credit card, super or insurance and you’ll work closely with our SEO, marketing, research and product data teams to inform and amplify your content.
What you will be doing
- Research and write finance-related content for articles and web pages that will resonate with Canstar’s readers. This will include content for explainer articles on finance topics, product comparison pages, long-form guides and news stories on trending finance topics
- Source and pitch your own content and story ideas based on consumer and industry trends
- Follow Canstar’s tone of voice, style and production guides to ensure content is optimised for usability and search engines
- Interview internal and external finance experts on the topics you’re writing about to ensure your content is relevant and insightful
- Upload content to our content management system ensuring it is presented in an engaging and user friendly way
- Monitor the performance of your content and use the learnings to make further optimisations and inform the types of content you pitch in the future.
What you will need to bring to the role
- 1-2 years’ experience in a content, journalism or editorial role
- Ability to produce quality content to deadline
- Experience working with a content management system (ideally WordPress) would be an advantage
- Experience or knowledge of the finance or related industries will be an advantage
- An interest in consumer finance, real estate, business or economics journalism
- Knowledge of, or interest in, SEO best practice
- A good eye for data visualisation and engaging imagery
- Comfortable with numerical or financial concepts
