Information Security Specialist

Job Summary

This role manages the vendor cyber risks to Optus from its supply chain, known at Optus as Third-Party Service Providers (TPSP) Security Risk Governance.

TPSP security governance is mainly carried out through questionnaire-based evaluation with a small subset of them subject to onsite evaluations as well. It involves assessing Cyber/Information security risks across TPSPs environment (processes, technology & operations), which may impact Optus. The assessment also extends to ensuring that the TPSPs comply with all applicable Regulations and Standards, that Optus is mandated to comply with by the regulators.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and understand the present process and improve as required.

Analyse TPSP data and categorize them appropriately for assessment.

Execute TPSP program to the plan.

Work with the outsource vendor to run the plan to the schedule and cost.

Monitor and drive remediation of identified issues with stakeholders.

Accurately report on project progress and status of identified risk to appropriate level.

Work with other functions of Security & Risk on refining risk and security practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

Good knowledge about Information Security and Supply Chain Risks.

Deep knowledge of cybersecurity practices, risk assessments and compliance activities.

Strong stakeholder’s management skills.

Multi-Cycle knowledge in driving compliance for ISMS.

Strong analytical, research and recommendation skills.

Good skills in preparing and presenting management reports and dashboards.

CISSP accreditation is preferred.
