Job Description
Mackay Regional Council have an opportunity for a motivated and experienced Contracts Administration Officer to join our Procurement and Plant team on a permanent full-time basis with a 9 Day fortnight roster.
About this opportunity:
The Contracts Administration Officer contributes to the operational success of the Mackay Regional Council through the effective control of Council’s tendering and contract management functions.
You will be responsible for administering and maintaining an up-to-date financial record of active contracts, while ensuring appropriate risk management strategies are in place and facilitating Council’s contract payment functions.
The successful candidate will have the following:
• Previous experience as a Contract Administrator with an understanding of contract management processes, contract law and legislation and the day to day payment of contracts and contractors.
• Previous experience in the use of computerised accounting systems and Microsoft Office Products.
• Candidates who hold a Certificate III in Business Administration will be highly regarded.
