Job Description
This is a full time position at an Academic B, $101,598 – $120,647 plus 17% superannuation, classification working 36.75 (1.0 FTE) hours per week over a continuing contract period.

About the role
As a Lecturer in Digital Marketing, you would bring a combination of professional and academic expertise to contribute to teaching, research, leadership and service within Victoria University Business School. You would be in a team teaching into the Bachelor of Business and Master of Marketing programs via VU’s Block Model of teaching, where students focus on one unit (subject) at a time in small interactive and collaborative class. Each semester is broken into four blocks, which run for four weeks.
The Bachelor of Business has recently been reviewed and revitalised to ensure the c ourse is contemporary, industry-immersed, digitally-rich and infused with sustainability themes. The course has a renewed focus on career readiness, employability/entrepreneurship and industry links from day one and throughout the course, supported via real business experiences, guaranteed internships/placements, and learning environments designed to foster active and creative minds. This role also has expectations around research and professional engagement.
About the person
You have a strong academic background, with a PhD in Business, combined with active connections to the marketing profession. You have a passion for educating the next generation of business leaders and have demonstrated your research expertise through a record of high quality publications. You will have industry and academic experience in digital marketing, with an entrepreneurial mindset. You can demonstrate high professional and collegial behaviour and the ability to work with others.
