THE PROJECT – Barton Highway Upgrade

The Barton Highway Upgrade is a greenfield design and construction project for a new northbound two-lane carriageway; construction of road safety improvement works to convert the existing bi-directional carriageway into a two-lane southbound carriageway; and the upgrade and adjustment of several local road intersections from the ACT/NSW border north towards Kaveneys Road, NSW.

About the role:

We are seeking a talented Project Quality Manager to join our team in New South Wales. The role requirements will include:

  • Ensuring the processes for the project Quality Management System are implemented and maintained.
  • Training in the Quality Management System as required to project staff.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the required project Quality Management System documentation.
  • Ensure that Quality Management System documentation required to be provided by subcontractors and suppliers meets specified requirements.
  • Develop and maintain SWIFT project specific metadata.
  • Ensure the management of materials testing is being completed.
  • Oversee the management of Monitoring and Measuring Equipment on the project.
  • Ensuring that delivered product is inspected and an audit program is developed.
  • Oversee the management of document control on the project.
  • Oversee the management of nonconformance reports on the project.
  • Oversee the management of testing laboratories on the project.
  • Analyse and review relevant QMS project data to identify undesired trends and develop or assist in developing improvement action plans.
  • Generate and disseminate relevant Quality Management System reports required both internally on the project and externally to clients and to the National Quality Manager.
  • The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated significant experience as a quality assurance professional for engineering and/or civil construction, ideally as a standalone quality professional on complex, infrastructure projects.
  • Tertiary Engineering qualifications.
  • Working knowledge of client standards and specifications.
  • Experience in civil construction and Quality Management Systems.
  • Intermediate computer literacy – (Microsoft Suite).
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Current C-Class Driver’s License
