We are currently seeking experienced  HospitalitySupport Workers  at  Bethanie Elanora AgedCare Home  in  Bunbury  tofill a variety of shifts ona  casual  basis .Bethanie Elanora is an 81 bed facility located close to the beach,offering comfortable and happy living as well as some of the bestaged care facilities in the area.

To be considered, candidates must be available to work acrossboth  morning and afternoon shifts,  aswell as  weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful applicants must be willing to work across thefollowing departments listed below:

Kitchen Hand 

Ensuring responsible work practices of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards

Ensuring required ingredients are available daily

Assisting is preparation, apportioning and serving of meals

Maintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and general surrounds in a clean and safe condition

Collecting and washing pots, pans, crockery and cutlery

Food Services Assistant

Ensuring delivery, set up, service, washing and clean down are completed

Ensuring care recipients meal and hydration needs are met

Assisting in preparation and portioning of care recipients meals

Ensuring facility areas are clean and safe

Domestic Assistant

Ensuring bathrooms, toilets, furniture, fittings, floors and communal areas are kept clean and tidy

Ensuring supplies are stocked within the facility

Liaise with other Bethanie employees to ensure the needs of clients are met

Ensuring client’s personal clothing is individually labelled, and put away in their rooms, identifying items that require mending

Laundry Assistant

Ensure all personal laundry and linen is laundered correctly and ensure infection control practices are adhered to

Sort and wash linen by wash temperature, colour, degree of soiling, infectious nature, fabric and fibre

Load and unload washing machine and tumble dryers

Sort and fold clean and dry linen for dispatch to sites

Report damage or wear and recommend repairs or replacement

Place clean linen into trolleys for delivery

About You:

Willingness to uphold the vision, mission and values of The Bethanie Group

Possess a passion for, and previous experience working as Kitchen Hand or Food Services Assistant ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment

Have a “can do” attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents

Reliable with a strong work ethic

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

A current police clearance or willingness to get one
