We are proud to present the role of Junior Data Scientist – a crucial team member to join this specialist division as part of one of the world’s most reciginable agency groups. The division is focused on projects that make social impact within developing countries through cutting-edge marketing and communications strategy and insights.
The role of Junior Data Scientist will work closely with the Senior Strategist and Senior Data Scientist to analyse, report and provide insights on the division’s data ecosystem, and to ensure strategic decision making based on accurate data led insights.
Main accountabilities include:
- Prepare and design reports for regular client reporting
- Analysis across media data to provide insight into campaign performance
- Network Mapping to identify key trends and topics in social media platforms
- Tag and traffic creative assets across media formats
- Optimise data enrichment streams to streamline reporting & analysis
- Implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve data
- Monitor system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting and integrating new features
- Assisting Data Architect with ad hoc tasks.
- Reporting and maintaining of client facing dashboards
We are seeking 3-5 years of experience in a similar role with key skills and knowledge including:
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree or similar
- Practical understanding of data extraction, transformation and loading
- Database management and experience with structured (SQL) and unstructured (JSON) data, using multiple tools and coding languages
- Proficiency in cloud-based software programs specifically the AWS and Google Cloud Platform suite is desirable
- Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining
- Experience working with Python, JavaScript, and SQL and understanding of website scripts such as XML, Javascript, JSON
- Digital marketing analytics tools such as : Google DoubleClick Campaign Manager, Google 360, DV360, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and all mainstream social media platforms (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and etc.)
- A good eye for detail, in both data & design
- Language skills desirable, particularly Mandarin, both written and spoken
Working out of the Sydney CBD office with at least 2 days of remote working per week and ample flexibility as needed, this role is open to both full time and part time permanent candidates.
