About The Role

Based in our newly renovated South Bank offices, we have an exciting opportunity for a Principal, Future Mine Operations to join our Operational Technology & Systems team. Reporting to the Group Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the digital strategy for competitive and future-proof mine operations for Thiess’ global contract mining business.

Additionally, the role will include:

• Supporting the business with strategic envisaging and planning for operational technology and systems initiatives
• Supporting the business with diversification of mining services and systems, with a strong focus on achieving commercialization objectives for Thiess developed systems
• Development of marketing content and initiatives to support the growth and promotion of Thiess’s operational technology & systems services and solutions
• Oversight and supporting project management activities required to support the team’s  portfolio of initiatives
• Facilitating ongoing research and evaluation of technologies
• Fostering and developing partnering relationships with key technology providers
• Supporting the business with successful project tendering approaches and OT business case evaluation

About You

You will have completed relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Project Management, Engineering Computer Science or other Business related qualification.

You will have demonstrated experience the leadership of business and process analysis best practice, including strong value identification capability and have the ability to present to a senior leadership team. You will have a track record of creating product roadmaps and business strategy (as it applies to Future Mine or business technology offering) with some experience in the METS or mining industry.

You will also have extensive experience in stakeholder (both internal and external) relationship management and have the capacity to lead transformational change, business wide engagement, organizational capacity building and cultural change programs.
