About the Role

Tattarang & Minderoo Foundation is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst with a primary focus on Security Operations. In this role, you will join a talented, highly collaborative team within Central Operations, working to reduce risk across the company, whilst gaining exposure to the wider business areas and initiatives. You will contribute to the development and execution of Tattarang & Minderoo Foundation’s overall Cyber Security strategy, focusing on monitoring and responding to security threats, ensuring the safety and security of Tattarang & Minderoo Foundation and related entities.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Perform real-time monitoring and investigation of security alerts raised by different security systems
• Assist in improving configurations of security systems to ensure these are operating effectively
• Respond to and assist in security incidents and security-related requests/cases
• Assist in reporting security metrics
• Assist in cyber security evaluations and assessment of applications, systems, processes and policies
• Inspire and support a security culture across the organisation to ensure security, trust and privacy are embedded in our ways of working.
• Assist with tracking desktop and server systems patch state, emerging vulnerabilities and availability of vendor updates
• Contribute to the development of Security Awareness Training, ensuring that monthly training is deployed and monitoring completion rates
• Monitoring, Actioning and Reporting Phishing attempts, becoming familiar with Mimecast Email Protection Software
• Engage with business to proactively suggest improvements to the user experience of security platforms

Qualifications

About You

You may be still be a student, currently undertaking cyber security studies or already have a few years’ experience under your belt and looking to gain more hands-on experience and mentoring with senior colleagues.

Your skills and qualifications will include:

• Completed or currently undertaking any of:
  • ITIL Foundation; or
  • Security +; or
  • SANS GCIH or relevant SANS training; or
  • Various relevant cyber security formal training; or
  • 1-2 years experience in a cyber security role
• Development / scripting skills in Python / Powershell a bonus
• Familiarity with endpoint protection, email filtering, enterprise firewalls, WAF (Web Application Firewall), IPS/IDS, SIEM (Security Information Event Management)
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building.
