Job Description

(Level B) $102,952 to $121,779 or (Level C) $125,537 to $144,368 per annum plus an employer contribution of up to 17% superannuation applies.

Fixed-term position available until June 2025, with the possibility of extension subject to funding. Flexible work arrangements can be negotiated with the right candidate.

The Centre for Automotive Safety Research (CASR) at the University of Adelaide is a world class multi-disciplinary research centre that seeks to reduce the injury and economic burden of road crashes. Core activities include crash investigation, vehicle testing, data analysis, modelling and evaluation. The Centre provides opportunities that are both interesting and challenging, and allows individuals to contribute to work that can lead to profound impacts on communities. CASR is currently seeking a person with expertise in manipulating and analysing large datasets for research purposes.

To be successful at Research Fellow B, you will need:

  • A tertiary degree or higher in a related field.
  • Demonstrable research experience in the analysis of large datasets.
  • Some knowledge of statistics and the ability to apply and explain statistical techniques.
  • A strong work ethic, and the ability to work well independently, and as a member of a broader team, including with external partners.
  • Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, and ability to contribute to the diversity of the University community.

In addition to the above, to be successful at Senior Research Fellow C, you will need:

  • A PhD in a related field.
  • A proven track record of running and managing research projects and applying for funding grants.
  • High quality interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external collaborators and other stakeholders, including the delivery of presentations and reports to a range of audiences.
