This role offers the opportuntiy to move from head contracting to a global property developlment company. 

About the Role

Great opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and professional quality coordinator / inspector to join our clients in-house development team based In Melbourne.

The successful candidate will have extensive construction site experience in a similar role & possess considerable knowledge of construction processes, standards and regulations 

The role will also require clear reporting to the project manager and internal development team. 

Role Responsibilities:

• Act as a quality inspector on site on behalf of client. 
• To fully comprehend the detailed requirements of all drawings and specifications.
• Regualr site visuts, as directed by the Project Manager / Development Manager to:-
o Ensure works are being carried out in accordance with the Contract drawings and specifications;
o Monitor Contractor’s general progress against the Contract programme 
o Monitor quality of materials and workmanship , identifying any defects or issues for escalation 
o Monitor for non-compliances with WHS regulations relating to construction.
• Identify and communicate with Contractors and consultants to address any technical queries, problems, non-compliances etc.
• Identify any potential difficulties on site in good time so that the necessary instructions can be issued.
• Take progress photos to record good practice, conditions, events or deviations from the drawings and specification in order to evaluate the Contractor’s on-site performance and progress.
• Provide a weekly progress and inspection report for each project.
• Coordinate with consultants and Contractor for required third party inspections
• Attend Contractor progress meetings with Project / Development Manager.
• Contribute to risk review workshops 
• Ensure all correspondence is filed in accordance with QA procedures and/or the Project Electronic Data Management System.
• Liaise with the Contractor and consultants to agree benchmark quality standards.
• Liaising with the Superintendent, Independent Certifier, external Contractors and consultants.
