A global trading firm is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Joining a small, close-knit team who work as part of a larger, global cyber security division, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to work with and use a number of leading-edge cyber tools including Splunk (SIEM), Crowdstrike (endpoint protection), Sailpoint IIQ (IDAM) and Akamai (WAF).

The role will be working in a cyber security operations capacity with a focus on the support / management of security tools. Responsibilities will include incident response and troubleshooting, monitoring firewall traffic, adding users / groups on Active Directory and managing the queue of tickets through Jira. Over time this role will also be involved in contributing towards project initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Tertiary qualifications with relevant industry certifications
• Solid experience working in a cyber security operations environment in large, complex environments
• Incident response and vulnerability management experience
• Knowledge and experience working in a Windows / Linux environment, combined with experience using / supporting Active Directory
• Previous experience monitoring firewall traffic highly regarded
• Solid scripting skills
• Exceptional customer service and stakeholder engagement skills combined with strong communication skills
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving skills
