About the Role

As the Quality Laboratory Lead, you will have a strong focus on Leadership of the QA/QC function for the Eastern Operations Region, ensuring compliance to laboratory safety and QA/QC systems and processes, management of functional budgets, completion of team goals and the development of team members. 

Responsibilities include:

Lead teams including development of staff and supervision of contractors

Manage team budgets and complete team reporting requirements

Initiate, plan and develop processes and projects to define and implement quality assurance practices within manufacturing operations in line with organisational policies, standards and guidelines

Ensure overall quality control of processes, raw materials and products in line with regulatory and industry standards

Lead method development and improvement programs

About You

Degree in Chemistry or Equivalent

Previous experience working in a mineral sands laboratory (desired)

Demonstrated leadership skills

Experience using XRF and Mass Spectrometry equipment

This position is based at our Mineral Separation Plant in Broken Hill, NSW but will be required to work in other sites in our Eastern Operations as needed.
