Opportunity
12-month initial day rate contract with option to extend beyond for a federal Agency operating a world class scheme. This is a large nationally distributed team following a Scaled Agile methodology, the position being based in Inner Melbourne (Richmond location) close to trams and train lines. There’s significant flexibility on offer with 3 days in the office the preferred model. A transformational environment, the Agency is presently implementing Salesforce, API’s and developing multiple customer facing digital applications to assist both sides of its marketplace with emphasis on accessibility compliance (WCAG2.0).

Role

• Work alongside the Enterprise Architect and the Solution Architecture team to develop systems architecture blueprints for projects across Scheme Participant, Provider and Partners with focus on Service Enhancement and Digital Transformation.
• Deliver high quality solution architectures to meet business objectives
• Align solutions with Agency goals to the Enterprise Architecture reference model, principles, policies, standards and roadmaps
• Liaise with IT and business stakeholders to ensure business outcomes are achieved
• Maintains technical oversight and solve technical issues arising during project delivery
• Facilitate technical decision making
• Mentor, coach and assist one or multiple delivery squads
• Present the project solutions at approval at Architecture Forums and Governance Councils

Requirements

• Experience a Solutions Architect or Technical Architect within a federal or state government environment would be strongly preferred, alternatively large complex nationally distributed corporate environment with national teams and vendor engagement
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or similar
• TOGAF / Zachman Architecture Frameworks and Certification, highly regarded
• AWS or Azure Cloud Architecture certifications, highly regarded
• Experience working on cloud-based projects (AWS or Azure), digital transformation, “assistive technology” enabled solutions which are WCAG2.0 accessibility compliant preferably for the government
• Familiar with deployment in public and private government approved cloud and associated security considerations
• Technical strength in digital, mobile, and web architectures – API’s, microservices, stateless token-based authentication and authorization
• Personalization and delivery of relevant managed content to digital channels.
• Experience working in SAFe Scaled Agile and traditional development methodologies
• Experience in UML and exposure to Salesforce and MuleSoft desirable
