We are currently looking for a Systems Engineer to join our MSP division, based in Adelaide.  

As a Systems Engineer, you will be providing a level of expertise and the necessary guidance to ensure the successful development of the capability needs and requirements documents. The successful candidate will manage a small team of engineers as well as interfacing with Commonwealth SMEs.

Some of your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to;

• Application of System Engineering to project activities
• Participate in the management of system requirements and governance of the system design effort
• Develop / Conduct capability, concept and requirements analysis / documentation
• Prepare correspondence, briefs and reports as directed
• Run and chair project engineering working groups as required
• Provide assistance to other teams including V&V, Project and ILS
• Build and sustain collaborative stakeholder engagement (internal and external) including the ability to communicate with influence and negotiate effectively
• Manage and mentor engineering team members 

To be successful in the role as Systems Engineer, you will need to bring with you;

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline
• Proven experience delivering Systems Engineering support to defence acquisition projects or in-service platforms will be highly regarded
• Sound decision making judgment skills and stakeholder engagement skills
• Demonstrated high levels of flexibility and the ability to respond to changing priorities and challenges.
• Be self-motivated, with a high level of communication skills
• Previous experience leading or mentoring junior engineers 

Candidates will need to be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance. QinetiQ conducts pre-employment screening, including but not limited to identity verification and police checks, for all preferred candidates.
