The opportunity:

Visy Logistics is a recognised leader in Australian warehousing and freight services with comprehensive and competitive road, rail, and domestic sea freight, intermodal and 3PL capabilities. This role will assist in the execution of robust processes for inventory management, including cycle counting, stocktakes, aged stock analysis, warehouse utilisation analysis and ensure the highest level of stock integrity through daily quality audits and load inspections, coordination of stock repair, stock write-off and re-sort campaigns. 

Reporting to the State Logistics Manager – NSW, Inventory and QA Officer will focus on service delivery excellence, safety and compliance, and productivity of the operation.   

Key responsibilities are, but not be limited to:

• Provide support to the day-to-day Visy Glass NSW warehouse operation and inventory functions, ensuring safe operations in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Provide operational, analytical and administrative support for Visy Glass inventory processes.
• Execute regular stock cycle counting activities and report all discrepancies.
• Investigate inventory variances and write-off stock losses as directed.
• Participate in and provide administrative support for bi-annual Stocktakes.
• Identify damaged, overaged, compromised, or contaminated stock through daily quality audits and load inspections.
• Act as a point of contact to Visy Glass Quality teams for the coordination of aged ware write-offs, re-sort campaigns, or product and packaging issues requiring additional quality inspection support.
• Learn all aspects of the operation to provide back-up support to other operational roles as and when required due to leave and absences.
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with operations team, internal and external stakeholders.

What you will bring to the team:

• Min. two years’ experience in similar Stock Controller / Inventory Planner / Quality Analyst role parting with Logistics and Supply Chain
• E-commerce / Manufacturing / Logistics Industry experience is favourable/highly regarded
• Strong commercial data reporting presentation skills
• Good understanding of date extraction and evaluation
• Customer Service focused, analytical skills and process-oriented
• Adaptable to change with a “can do” attitude
• Advance knowledge of MS excels and SAP
• Forklift licence desirable
