Regulatory Cyber Analyst

The Payments Policy Department is responsible for developing and implementing the Reserve Bank’s payments system policy. The Department is responsible for oversight of Australia’s systemically important payments, clearing and settlement facilities and represents the Bank on relevant international groups, including the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures (CPMI).

We are looking for the next Regulatory Cyber Analyst t o join our team.

Key Objectives

In relation to cyber and technology resilience, provide analysis and advice regarding the effectiveness of governance, risk management and operational risk controls in payment systems and Financial Market Infrastructure (FMIs).

Keep up to date with emerging cyber and technology risks, associated controls, and best practice of risk management methodology to inform the oversight and supervision of FMIs and payments systems

Contribute your subject matter expertise about cyber and technology risks facing FMIs and payments systems to decision making and information briefings for the Payments Systems Board, the Council of Financial Regulators and other stakeholder groups.

Effectively liaise with a variety of external and internal stakeholders to support and enhance analysis and communicate cyber and technology risk analyses effectively to the relevant audiences.

Your Background

Relevant tertiary qualification (, in business, finance, information systems or related disciplines).

Industry Knowledge ( audit, finance, risk management) 

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information is essential.

Experience in an auditing role

Professional Membership of a professional auditing institute or body is desirable.
