Job Description

We are seeking a GIS Support for our Client’s Capital Approvals Team. Flexible part and full time as well as working from home options are available.

Responsibilities will include:

Version control of GIS data for the Capital Approvals Team
Receipt of GIS data from internal and external sources
Conversion of data between GIS and other data file formats eg AutoCAD
Formatting of GIS data to comply with the Environmental Protection Authority’s Index of Biodiversity Surveys for Assessments (IBSA)
Preparation of figures for internal and external use
Creation of GIS maps and shapefiles for internal and external use
GIS data analysis and calculations

About you:

Minimum of five years’ experience with ArcGIS
Familiarity with AutoCAD and other engineering design programs and files
Familiarity with environmental datasets and IBSA requirements
Understanding of State and Commonwealth environmental GIS imagery requirements (e.g. delineating development envelopes, mapping of conservation significant species, identifying and mapping buffer and exclusion areas) (DESIRABLE)
Demonstrated ability to design, develop and apply quantitative and qualitative analytical methodologies (DESIRABLE)
Demonstrated ability to develop practical and innovative GIS solutions to complex projects (DESIRABLE)
