We’re looking for a strategy brain.
The planner.
The thinker.
The ideas person.
The connector of dots and ideas.
You don’t need to be a ninja or a unicorn.. But it’s cool if you want to be. A digital strategist at GoDigital is a true digital native – familiar with most of the modern methods, tools and platforms that make a great digital experience, as well as ALWAYS being willing to learn a new way to make things happen. Our ideal candidate has the ability to understand what our clients really want, by better understanding what their customers really NEED, and then putting up a plan to make it happen.
You’ll need to know a bit (or alot), about CX principals, Digital Marketing and Media, Marketing Automation, Data Analysis, Database Management & CRM experience, what’s trending in digital and what’s working.
You’ll have experience in planning and activating campaigns across multiple digital touchpoints and experience in online retail or FMCG is preferred.
You don’t need to know about how to implement – we have a whole team of expert UI and UX, Engineers, Paid Media Specialists and Data people that are dedicated to delivering amazing outcomes – but your job is to figure out how to link all of these pieces together in a cohesive, coordinated process.
When we catch up for an interview…
You need to demonstrate to us that you have a wide knowledge of digital and other content delivery platforms. Show us that you excel at out-of-the-box thinking and are creative yet methodical in your approach at reaching specific market targets by using different digital mediums. Talk to us about how you understand people and how they interact with digital media. Tell us stories about what’s hot in the digital world, the trends you follow and how that could translate to how consumers are accessing information. Showcase your skills at brainstorming, running a nice workshop, that you’re deadline driven, organised and don’t mind getting into the detail.
A day in the life
- You’re always looking at data, can understand analytics and explain what’s happening to anyone who needs to know
- You develop and oversee the implementation of the digital strategy and optimise based on the results
- You’re across modern tech stacks
- You can evaluate the digital channel mix for a project or brand and asses if it’s doing well or needs to change, and what that change could be
- You can make a compelling case for a new piece of tech or to stop using one
- You can run a workshop with a client to understand their needs and map out a plan to make it happen (in budget)
- You collaborate with the client and a cast of partner agencies to deliver integrated work.
