Our client is a leading superannuation fund in Australia. Due to a busy period, they are seeking a Senior Information Security Officer to join their team in Melbourne. Reporting to the Technology Manager, and working in a team, you will Support the Technology department in providing secure services to the business and members.

This role is a permanent full time opportunity, however daily rate contractors will be considered.

Our client offers a hybrid work arrangement with weekly visits to the office in the Melbourne CBD and WFH. They are a friendly team with a great culture and modern office environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Contribute to developing and ongoing updates of the Information Security strategic planning
• Contribute to updating the Information Security policies, procedures, and documentation
• Provide Technology Department oversight in regards to Information Security
• Collaborate with Cyber Security Manager to provide thought leadership for the entire organisation
• Interact with relevant external parties and stakeholders concerning Information Security
• Managing internal/external Information Security audits, assessments, and testing
• Contribute towards creation of employee security awareness program
• Continuing education on new threats, emerging technologies, and protective measures
• Implement Data access and security controls
• Ensure data is properly protected (confidential, integrity, availability)
• Monitors security alerts and events that could impact the organization
• Create and manage an incident response program
• Implement Security Standards for vendor management
• Involvement in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity

About you?

• Tertiary qualification in a technology or business discipline
• Personal drive, strong sense of accountability and results driven
• Strong experience and capability in leading change and engaging with key stakeholders and teams to be part of the change
• Strong sustainable stakeholder and relationship skills
• Security vendor management experience
• Experience in the management of vendors in the provision of IT security services
• Strong people skills and influencing skills
• Strong customer service and excellent communication skills
• Project management experience
• Conversant with superannuation and related business systems and a knowledge of how current and future systems and applications can be exploited to add value to the business
• An understanding of ITIL principles
• Experience in ISO/IEC 27001 and/or other Information Security standards / frameworks
