About the role

QBD Books’ Support Office, located in Richlands on the Southside, is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced marketer to join their passionate, high performing marketing team. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, this position will work alongside a team of specialists to deliver omni-channel marketing campaigns for the QBD Books brand. If you are an avid reader, love books and authors and have 3 – 4 years in retail marketing, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Your key responsibilities will include;

Work with the business and the buying team to identify marketing and promotional opportunities for new and existing titles / products;

Working with the Head of Marketing to plan omni-channel marketing campaigns that support business, marketing and publishing objectives;

Create and manage the QBD Books marketing calendar for all activities and seasonal campaigns, and work with the marketing team to execute, manage and report on results;

Execute regular campaigns and activities across eDM (including database segmentation), social media, eCommerce, paid search, SEO, third party re-seller platforms etc.;

Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders including external agencies, corporate partners, shopping centres and publishing houses to develop campaigns and support brand objectives;

Manage and optimise Google Adwords and Analytics for both QBD books brand, promotional and seasonal campaigns; and

Organise and manage a range of in-store events such as Author appearances, dinners, book signings, launches etc.

To be considered for this role, your background, skills and experience must meet the following requirements;

Ability to work from the QBD Office on the Southside of Brisbane;

At least 3 years’ experience in retail marketing, with a particular focus on eDM, social media, eCommerce and digital marketing channels;

Proven experience in campaign planning and management to drive commercial outcomes and revenue growth;

Experience with the Microsoft and Adobe suites;

Excellent copywriting and communication skills with strong attention to detail;

Proven experience with reviewing business analytics via Google and other associated platforms;

Excellent time management with the versatility and adaptability to work simultaneously on a variety of projects; and

A genuine love for books and authors.
