The CBA Home Buying team has end-to-end responsibility for CommBank’s Home Loans business and supports the proprietary, third party and ‘white label’ distribution channels to meet our customers’ needs for home finance and advice, offering a simpler and faster alternative lending experience for customers. Leveraging the strength of CBA and the agility of our third party suppliers, Residential Mortgages Group (RMG) is a white label product issuer delivering sustainable market share and profit growth to the RBS Home Buying business and we partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure we always deliver on our promises to our customers.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Product Governance Manager to join a dynamic and exciting team committed to drive successful customer and business outcomes! Reporting to the Senior Manager, White Label Governance and Strategy, you will be instrumental in managing the governance for the white label mortgage lending business entity and be accountable for supporting in maintaining the entity credit licence, internal and external compliance requirements and preparing papers and other submissions for several governance forums while managing a vast and dynamic network of internal and external stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities / focus areas will include

• Preparing board and other governance forum papers and submissions
• Supporting in administration and preparation activities of several governance forums
• Managing the credit licence of the business and related obligations
• Acting as a business and product SME to support completion of risk and compliance assessments in relation to the white label business
• Liaising with Line 1, Line 2 and Line 3 colleagues for governance or risk matters
• Representing the business and acting as an SME during internal or external audits

Your key responsibilities / focus areas will include

To be successful in this role you will require a previous background in risk advisory or governance roles and it will be advantageous if you have had prior exposure to working in a product management or home lending team. A self-driven, collaborative individual, you can effectively multitask and work to competing key deadlines, and be able to demonstrate strong risk focus and relationship building skills with stakeholders. You will also have:

• A proven understanding of operational risk management frameworks
• Demonstrable skills in writing management and governance papers
• Demonstrable skills in analysing data to extract meaningful insights to be packaged up in a succinct manner for consumption by senior executive stakeholders
• Home lending experience – preferable
• Highly effective communication skills, including a proven ability to influence others
• A tertiary qualification in a Business/Commerce/Risk related field – advantageous but not essential
